Great to hear back from you, Scott! And, here's a suggestion, although it should seem pretty obvious...

How well the muscle memory sticks is going to depend on how often you do something like those cross-over drills. And, the more you do the off-ice drills, the more they'll transfer to your on-ice game. Trust me: If you do them often, you're going to just discover yourself suddenly doing them in your games without even thinking.

Good luck, buddy, and please touch base with me again sometime soon -- to let me know how you're doing, and to shoot any other problems my way. Hey, that's what I'm here for (and I love it)!

hey Coach - just saw your followups to my comments. thanks for addressing them, and for the pointers to your videos. I'm going to try out the dryland standing crossover drills, and try to take some time at my regular practices to do them on-ice as well.

that, plus reviewing all the must-do drills. :-)

Scott T and Jamie L, I don't know if you yet saw the post I did in answer to your questions. No matter, I wanted to let you know that I have updated that piece, and I also added a couple of new videos that should be helpful to both of you. That post is above, or at http://www.coachchic.com/help-for-beginner-cross-overs/ Let me know if this does prove helpful, huh?
