Enhance Proper Skating Muscle Memory
I have been waiting for years to let hockey folks outside my local area know about this unbelievable training device. My high school and junior high kids have used Techni-cords for probably 5- or 6-years, and my grandson has been using his every off-season when he returns from college.
In essence, the idea behind the T-cords is that, they support a skater as he or she attempts to very slowly go through the mechanics of a proper skating motion. The beauty of this method is that a skater gets to practice the correct motion, over and over and over again. And, you know what that means… It means that motion ultimately gets ingrained as muscle memory. But, before I go any further, here’s a brief video showing what they look like in use, and explaining a little more about their purpose…
I hope you saw the posture that skater was able to assume as he worked within the Techni-cords. That’s the way every skater wants to bite into the ice and to lean into turns.  And, only these T-cords really make that possible.
Oh, before sending you off to the Techni-cords site for more information, let me mention that I’ve been able to quickly attach my T-cords to a telephone pole out in front of our house, to an eye bolt on a wall in The MOTION Lab, I’ve seen places at the local rink where one could be affixed, and I know a pole in the ground will do.
Okay, you definitely want to discover more about the Techni-cords by clicking on the link or the photo below. There are tons more pretty interesting videos available over on that site…
